EPIDEMIOLOGICAL SITUATION FIRST/LAST OUTBREAK: No clinical evidence of PPRV in Turkmenistan. However the risk of PPR introduction are in the Mary and Lebap regions along the border with Afghanistan, as well as Akhal and Balkan regions along the border with Iran.

CONTROL ACTIVITIES: From 2015 vaccinations are carried out in a buffer zone along the border with Afghanistan and Iran. Number of vaccinated animal in 2016 was 1 117 888.
