Unleashing the potential for inclusive agricultural growth and transformation in Africa requires coordinated and strategic public and private investment in the agriculture sector. Against a background of limited government resources and expertise, public–private partnerships are increasingly being promoted as a mechanism to pool resources, reduce risk, improve productivity and drive growth in the agriculture and food sectors.
This report aims at providing an overview of the agribusiness incubation and acceleration landscape in Africa. The study is a joint effort between the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the African Union Commission (AUC) and the Agripreneurship Alliance.

This report aims at providing an overview of the agribusiness incubation and acceleration landscape in Africa. The study is a joint effort between the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the African Union Commission (AUC) and the Agripreneurship Alliance. The study mapped and analysed over 430 enterprise support organizations (ESOs) from across the continent. The high-level analysis was complemented by deep dives of incubation programmes implemented by 16 ESOs.

The food system has a bearing on human capital development, provision of jobs, industrial growth, structural transformation and ecosystem services.
