The Workshop was primarily concerned with engineering problems of aquaculture projects. The main purposes were to promote the interchange of ideas in regard to engineering aspects of aquaculture and to consider measures for improvement of the engineering of present day aquaculture projects. The Workshop was also intended to promote an exchange of ideas, region-wide, particularly in regard to the design of small-scale aquaculture projects in each of the participating countries.
