LEGISLATION -Fishing licence issued by Secretary of Agriculture only to citizens or entities established and resident in Dominican Republic. (Art. 14) -Licence not transferable. (Art. 13) -Licence conditions may include: name and address of applicant, nature and duration of fishing operations, time by which fishing is to start, type of fish to be caught, and type of equipment to be used. * = Country is a part to the South Pacific FFA arrangement which stipulates that licences will not be issued to foreign fishing vessels unless those vessels are listed in good standing on the FFA - maintained regional register of fishing vessels .
