Fees for foreign fishing licence:
-for vessels less than 30 feet (9.68 m.) (overall length) = $200 per year
-for vessels 30 - 60 feet (19.36 m) (overall length) = $400 per year
-for vessels over 60 feet (overall length) = $800 per year

Fees for licence to operate a fish processing establishment of any kind = $500

LEGISLATION
No foreign fishing vessel licence is to be issued unless there is an access agreement in force with the flag state or association representing vessel owners. Flag state includes regional organization with delegated power to make agreements. Requirement does not apply to licences issued for test fishing operations or for locally-based operations.

LEGISLATION
Local fishing vessel
defined as any fishing vessel (a) wholly owned by the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines or by any public corporation established by or under any law; or (b) wholly owned by one or more persons who are citizens of St. Vincent and the Grenadines; or (c) wholly owned by any company, society, or other association of persons incorporated or established in St. Vincent and the Grenadines of which at least 51% of the voting shares are held by citizens.
Locally-based foreign fishing vessel defined as one based in St. Vincent and the Grenadines which lands all catch there.

Note:
(1) General conditions (reg. 6) for foreign fishing licences are the same as those listed above for St. Lucia.
(2) Conditions for vessels 60 feet or more in length (reg. 6) are same as those listed above under St. Lucia entry for vessels 30 feet or more in length.
(3) Conditions regarding observers (reg. 6) are same as those listed for St. Lucia.
(4) Conditions for vessels with overall length of less than 60 feet (reg. 6(3)(a) and (b)) are same as those listed under St. Lucia entry for vessels 30 less than 30 feet long.
-Additional conditions may be communicated by radio to master of licensed vessel by letter, telex, or cablegram to licence holder or licensee's representative. or by other means deemed practicable by Chief Fisheries Officer.
-Fishing gear must be stowed in prescribed manner. (Reg. 7(1))
-Vessels to carry specified safety equipment.

LEGISLATION
-Any records, reports, or notifications must be in English. (Reg. 6(4))
-Written reports as required by Chief Fisheries Officer within 15 days of period to which report applies.
-Daily logbook must be kept for vessels over 30 feet long while in fishery waters and transmitted in original form to Chief Fisheries Officer within 45 days. (Reg. 6(2)(c))
-Radio reports required upon entry into fishery waters, daily while in fishery waters, at least 4 hours prior to departure, and as required by Chief Fisheries Officer.
-Such reports must specify vessels's international radio call sign or assigned number, position, total catch by species on board
-Catch record and other required information must be kept by vessels under 30 feet long.
