Logistical aspects and organisation of the workshop:

Another would have preferred a choice of the hotel and workshop location before deciding where to stay. Another said that the language differences created some barriers to fully understand the discussions.
Quality of technical discussions:
Comments: One participant suggested putting more emphasis on practical aspects of data collection.
Objectives of the workshop reached:
Comments: One participant stressed the need for support for the National FOSA Focal Point.
Usefulness of the workshop for daily work:
25 replies confirm the usefulness ("very educational and informative") of the workshop in the execution of their daily work.
Organisational points to improve upon (statements from participants):
organize such workshops more regularly (and not once every 5 years) because it benefits the participants in getting sub-regional experience;
give more emphasis on technical and financial support and coordination to help the governments to do the work of data collection and FOSA;
develop a format for prioritizing the list of thematic papers for FOSA to save time;
make interpretation always available, not only during plenary sessions;
make copies available of documents in the 2 languages before the start of the sessions; make sure all communiqués are in two languages;
make the workshop programme lighter; it's too heavy for 1 week's work.
