When the consultant left, the Beymelek Centre presented the
following situation:
- Seawater intake: same as 1993–4; still out of order because clogged by sand; main breackwater damaged by storms; restoration works to be started in summer 1995
- Pump station: same as 1993–4; not finished and not working
- Hatchery: same as 1993–4; completed and working
- Resevoir pond: same as 1993–4; completed and working
- Guest house: same as 1993–4; completed and working
- Training/congress centre: completed, but not yet furnished
- Lodgments for trainnees/guests (2nd): same as 1993–4; completed, but not yet furnished
- Workshops and storage rooms: completed and working
- Concrete raceways: same as 1993–4; 8 pre-growing and 4 on-growing tanks completed, but not working because the pump station is out of order
- Earth ponds: same as 1993–4; to be realized
- Staff lodgments: 4 new apartment blocks realized and in use.
