Project objectives:

· Breeding of autohtony ecotypes and introduction of resistant, produce and quality cultivars of almond.
· Researching of cultivars in commercial areas, propagation and spreading to the best cultivars.
· Improving of agrotechnical and pruning in arid conditions.

Project summary:

In primary commercial areas more than hundred foreign and domestic cultivars of almond are researched. The most resistant and the most fertile cultivars are propagated for planting commercial orchards. The technology for cultivation on almond in arid conditions are improved, also.

In the last ten years have been remarked negative changes of climate-continuous dryness, strong winter and spring frosts. Ours researches are directed to choise of resistant, produce and quality cultivars, improving to technology of planting, pruning and agrotechnical for protecting of dryness and frosts too.
