Online workshop on AGRIS and the visibility of agricultural scientific data of Georgia in the global information space

The online workshop "AGRIS - Visibility of the Agricultural Scientific Data of Georgia in the Global Information Space. Open Science principles and AGRIS Open Data Sets” will be conducted by the Institute TECHINFORMI of the Georgian Technical University with the support of Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations (FAO).  

This workshop, mainly provided in Georgian, is designed for Journal Publishers, MA and PhD students. It aims at increasing  awareness about open science in agriculture and training researchers and practitioners about new trends in agricultural  research.

AGRIS represents a global multilingual public database that provides free access to approximately 14 million bibliographic records, including over 1,500 data sets, in more than 90 of the world’s languages.

Institute TECHINFORMI is a national AGRIS Centre and Hub in Georgia, regularly placing bibliographic records (publications, conference materials, monographs, researches, etc.) in the database. Moreover, TECHINFORMI is the only provider of Georgian terms to the AGROVOC thesaurus.
