社会保护
全世界大约80％的极端贫困人口生活在农村地区，他们当中有76%的人从事农业工作，其中很大一部分依靠的是生计农业。
冲击和压力会影响农业粮食体系的稳定性，并将依赖农业的弱势群体推向贫困和饥饿，因为他们往往缺乏管理风险的手段。这要求采取包容性的风险管理方法，以满足受冲击影响人口的迫切需求，同时解决导致风险和脆弱性的根本原因，以创建具有韧性的和平社区。
社会保护包括一系列政策和计划，通过预防、保护、促进和变革性措施，为受益人解决导致粮食不安全和贫困的经济、环境和社会脆弱性问题。
社会保护干预措施通过广泛的工具实施，这些工具通常分为三大类：
- 社会援助
- 社会保险
- 劳动力市场干预
社会保护在减少极端贫困和加强粮食安全方面发挥着关键作用，同时还能增强家庭面对冲击的韧性，并刺激农村家庭投资农业生产。
