RESUMEN

Se presenta el informe oficial definitivo de la Tercera Reunión de la Comisión de Pesca Continental para América Latina (COPESCAL), celebrada en Ciudad de México del 30 de noviembre al 6 de diciembre de 1983. Los principales temas tratados están relacionados con: (a) examen del Informe del Grupo de Trabajo de la COPESCAL sobre Recursos Pesqueros; (b) conservación de los recursos genéticos de los organismos acuáticos; (c) manipulación, conservación, elaboración y comercialización del pescado; (d) examen del Informe del Grupo de Trabajo de la COPESCAL sobre Acuicultura; (e) actividades del Centro Regional Latinoamericano de Acuicultura; y (f) Conferencia Mundial de la FAO sobre Ordenación y Desarrollo Pesqueros. El Programa, la lista de los delegados y observadores, la lista de documentos presentados a la reunión, la información acerca de las instalaciones técnicas visitadas, y la lista de las principales recomendaciones de la reunión están presentados en los Apéndices A, B, C, D y E respectivamente.

ABSTRACT

The final formal report of the Third Session of the Commission for Inland Fisheries of Latin America (COPESCAL), held in Mexico City from 30 November to 6 December 1983 is presented. The major topics considered were: (a) consideration of the Report of the COPESCAL Working Party on Fishery Resources; (b) conservation of genetic resources of aquatic organisms; (c) handling, preservation, processing and marketing of fish; (d) consideration of the report of the COPESCAL Working Party on Aquaculture; (e) activities of the “Centro Regional Latinoamericano de Acuicultura” (Latin American Regional Aquaculture Centre); and (f) the FAO World Conference on Fisheries Management and Development. The Agenda, list of delegates and observers, list of documents presented at the meeting, information on the technical installations visited, and the list of the main recommendations of the meeting are given in Appendixes A, B, C, D and E, respectively.
