| RESUMEN |
| En este documento se presenta el informe final de la
quinta sesión de la Comisión de Pesca Continental para
América Latina (COPESCAL), celebrada en Ciudad de
Panamá, República de Panamá, del 20 al 24 de junio de
1988. Los temas principales tratados durante la sesión
se refieren a: explotación de los recursos pesqueros en
lagos y ríos; mitigación de los efectos de la contaminación;
introducción de especies exóticas y medidas
para proteger los recursos genéticos endémicos; actividades
de la FAO y cooperación regional en materia de
acuicultura; mejor utilización de los recursos ícticos
continentales; revisión de los objetivos y realizaciones
de la Comisión. Las listas de los participantes y
de los Corresponsales Nacionales están incluidas como
Apéndices A y D respectivamente. Una síntesis de las
principales conclusiones sobre los temas tratados y de
las recomendaciones para actividades futuras pertinentes
se presenta como Apéndice E. |
| ABSTRACT |
| This document is the final version of the report of the
fifth session of the Commission for Inland Fisheries of
Latin America (COPESCAL), held in Panama City, Panama,
from 20 to 24 June 1988. Major topics discussed refer
to: exploitation of fisheries resources of lakes and
rivers and mitigation of pollution effects; introduction
of exotic species and measures to protect the
endemic genetic resources; FAO activities and regional
cooperation on aquaculture; improved utilization of
inland fish resources; revision of the objectives and
achievements of the Commission. The lists of
participants and of the National Correspondents are
given as Annexes A and D respectively. A summary of
the main conclusions on topics discussed and of related
recommendations for future actions is given in Annex E. |
