1. The Seventh Session of the EIFAC Working Party on Eel took place from 20 to 25 May 1991 at the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, Dublin, at the kind invitation of the Government of Ireland.
2. Christopher Moriarty, Chairman of the Working Party, welcomed the participants (their list is given in Annex B); Mr. David De G. Griffith, Inspector and Scientific Advisor and Director of the Fisheries Research Centre also addressed the Working Party and wished the participants a successful meeting.
3. The Agenda (Annex A) was adopted.
4. Mr. R. Poole was appointed Rapporteur. He was assisted by Dr. M. Aprahamian, Mr. P. McGovern, Dr. A. Seymour and Ms. Rose Callaghan.
