The Framework for Ecosystem Restoration Monitoring (FERM) platform has been developed for tracking progress of efforts to restore degraded ecosystems, in the context of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration.

To advance restoration efforts, FAO, the Spatial Informatics Group (SIG), SilvaCarbon and researchers at Peking University and Duke University, have developed a SEPAL-based forest restoration planning tool (se.plan) to help identify and prioritize restoration locations.
