Consulta del Grupo de Alto Nivel de Expertos sobre la tenencia de la tierra y las inversiones internacionales en agricultura
La 36ª reunión del Comité de Seguridad Alimentaria Mundial (CSA), celebrada en Roma en octubre de 2010, solicitó la realización de un estudio al recientemente constituido Grupo de Alto Nivel de Expertos (HLPE, por sus siglas en inglés), para su presentación en la 37ª reunión del CSA, sobre la adaptación de la inversión agrícola internacional a los problemas de seguridad alimentaria.

En octubre de 2010, el recién reformado Comité de Seguridad Alimentaria Mundial (CFS, por sus siglas en inglés) de Naciones Unidas solicitó a su Grupo de Alto Nivel de Expertos en Seguridad Alimentaria y Nutrición (HLPE, por sus siglas en inglés) llevar a cabo un estudio sobre la protección social, y en particular evaluar “maneras de disminuir la vulnerabilidad mediante redes de seguridad, programas y políticas sociales y productivas respecto de la seguridad alimentaria y nutricional, teniendo en cuenta las diferentes condiciones reinantes en los distintos países y regiones.
