The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the RUAF Global Partnership on Sustainable Urban Agriculture and Food Systems are pleased to invite you to the official launch of the City Region Food Systems (CRFS) Assessment and Planning Handbook and online toolkit.

In a challenging context of multiple risks and uncertainties, the CRFS Programme, co-led by FAO and RUAF, aims to reinforce rural-urban linkages to enhance sustainable and resilient food systems.

The CRFS Assessment and Planning Handbook, along with its online toolkit, provides comprehensive guidance to project teams, institutions, and food system stakeholders on how to assess risks, vulnerabilities, and resilience capacities to multiple shocks and stresses and action planning to build resilience in city region food systems.

The webinar will i) launch and advocate take-up of the CRFS Assessment and Planning Handbook and Toolkit; ii) explore current understandings of resilience in the context of city region food systems; and iii) raise awareness on the importance to mainstream resilience in city region food systems strategies, policies and action.

The main language will be English, with simultaneous interpretation in French and Spanish.
