National workshop and training on climate action in Senegal’s livestock sector

This initiative will bring together stakeholders from the livestock and climate domains to enhance exchanges of knowledge and best practices in addressing climate change in Senegal. In-depth knowledge about the complex links between livestock, climate, and mitigation and adaptation strategies will be provided. The training will enhance participants' capacities to develop effective and feasible mitigation and adaptation strategies and policies in line with Senegal’s national development objectives. This workshop is conducted under the FAO Flexible Voluntary Contribution sub-programme “Scaling-up climate actions to enhance nationally determined contributions (NDC) and climate and livestock”, which supports nine countries in enhancing livestock-specific mitigation and adaptation measures in climate actions.
