Recognizing the complexity and the intertwined nature of climate change and the livestock sector development, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), together with the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC), the Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse gases (GRA), and the New Zealand Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Research Center (NZAGRC) are implementing the project “Creating the enabling environment for enhanced climate ambition and climate action through institutional capacity building.” Kenya is one of the project's focus countries with the State Department for Livestock (SDL) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development (MoALD) as a focal point.
