This stakeholder workshop and training are conducted under the FAO Flexible Voluntary Contribution sub-programme “Scaling-up climate actions to enhance nationally determined contributions (NDC) and climate and livestock”, which supports nine countries in enhancing mitigation and adaptation measures in the livestock sector. The workshop is designed for multiple stakeholders from both livestock and climate domains to discuss options to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from livestock systems and enhance climate resilience in Bangladesh. The training session will be hands-on for participants to learn about tools to assess greenhouse gas emissions in the livestock sector. The outcomes of this event will contribute to Bangladesh’s livestock extension policy and methane management framework.
