The Restoration Initiative in Sao Tome and Principe: Setting up carbon credit system with local farmers

In early 2023, The Restoration Initiative (TRI) in São Tomé and Príncipe partnered with Acorn, a program by Rabobank, to support smallholder farmers in measuring, certifying, and monetizing carbon sequestered through agroforestry restoration. This partnership aimed at creating a lasting positive impact on the climate while providing sustainable revenue for local farmers.
