The webinar “Boosting the potential of women farmers as protagonist of agroecological experiences: stories from the field’’ took place virtually with over 90 participants engaged to share the updates, lessons learnt and activities on the importance of the work women farmers are doing to implement agroecological experiences in all regions.

An extensive menu of biological control options to manage destructive invasive pests, including fall armyworm (FAW), and rich insights on the challenges and potential solutions for a worldwide scale up of the strategies were key outcomes from a global forum on urgently needed sustainable biological control measures.

Over 120 participants from 35 countries representing farmers, governments, international organizations, private sectorand civil society gathered during three days for the FAO Global Forum onthe Future of Farmer Field Schools for Sustainable Agrifood Systems.

The 11th World Soybean Research Conference (WSRC-11) was held in Vienna, Austria, from 18-23 June 2023. Over 500 participants from 51 countries attended the conference, including representatives from government, research and academia, extension and education, NGOs, private sectors, and resource partners. 

The FAO Plant Production and Protection Division (NSP) organized the first Roundtable Forum on Sustainable Plant Production as follow-up activity of the successful Global Conference on Sustainable Plant Production (GPC).
