EPIDEMIOLOGICAL SITUATION FIRST/LAST OUTBREAK: Many oubreaks reported each year from 2010.

CONTROL ACTIVITIES: Vaccination is carried out for all animals and animals are identified with an ear tag and registered. The main goal of the eradication programme is to achieve PPR free status in Thrace region, to decrease the incidence of the disease in Anatolia subsequently following the national eradication programme for a complete PRR frees status. To achieve this in 2016 all animals in Thrace and Anatolia have been vaccinated, the newborn ( 3 months old) but also non vaccinated adults in areas never affected by PPR cases also received vaccines.
