SITUACIÓN EPIDEMIOLÓGICA - PRIMER/ÚLTIMO BROTE: 50 and 24 outbreaks were officially reported in 2016 and 2017 respectively, predominantly located in the Central and Western parts of Turkey. No outbreaks were reported in the provinces neighbouring Georgia, Armenia, Iran, Iraq and Syria. No outbreaks were reported in Thrace region since 2014.

ACTIVIDADES DE CONTROL: National PPR Strategy is place since June 2017 (as a continuation of the former National PPR Control Strategy) and is composed of 2 parts, for Thrace (currently in PPR Stage 4) and Anatolia (currently in PPR Stage 2) regions with distinct eradication timeframes, respectively set for 2019 and 2023. Vaccination is carried out for all animals and animals are identified with an ear tag and registered in Anatolia.
