Tema del FCI 2023 de la FAO
El tema del FCI de la FAO de este año será “La ciencia y la innovación en beneficio de la acción por el clima”, en consonancia con el tema general del Foro Mundial de la Alimentación, esto es, “La transformación de los sistemas agroalimentarios acelera la acción por el clima”.
El FCI 2023 de la FAO se centrará en la mejora de la accesibilidad de las tecnologías en relación con el clima más apropiadas, así como en prácticas innovadoras y los conocimientos locales relativos a la adaptación y resiliencia al cambio climático y su mitigación en el contexto de los sistemas agroalimentarios. Permitirá mantener un debate más específico y estratégico sobre el modo en que la ciencia, la tecnología y la innovación afectan a la vulnerabilidad, las repercusiones y las capacidades y sobre su importancia crucial para transformar los sistemas agroalimentarios y potenciar la acción por el clima.
El FCI 2023 de la FAO facilitará el intercambio de experiencias y enseñanzas adquiridas acerca de la aplicación de soluciones concretas sobre el terreno para intensificar la acción por el clima, a fin de ayudar a los Miembros a acelerar sus esfuerzos con miras a lograr los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) y las cuatro mejoras de la FAO sin dejar a nadie atrás.

En el contexto del Foro de ciencia e innovación de la FAO 2023, la Oficina del Científico Jefe de la FAO les invita a compartir estudios de caso ilustrativos a nivel de país de tecnologías e innovaciones en sistemas agroalimentarios para la acción por el clima.
Tras examinar y seleccionar las contribuciones, los estudios de caso más impactantes, innovadores y relevantes se expondrán en el Foro de ciencia e innovación de la FAO 2023 y se invitará a los participantes a presentarlos.
Las contribuciones se pueden redactar en cualquiera de los seis idiomas de las Naciones Unidas (árabe, chino, español, francés, inglés o ruso).
