World Food Safety Day hits the television news in Chad
On 7 June World Food Safety Day was celebrated in Chad under the theme "Food standards save lives".
As part of the celebrations, the manager of the Cabinet d’Expertise Six Sigma gave an interview to Télévision Tchad24, a private Chadian television channel based in N'Djamena, Chad. The interview focused on the issue of a food safety culture and the popularization of food standards in Chad.
Responding to journalists’ questions, the manager of Cabinet d’Expertise Six Sigma listed a few points, which can be summarized as follows:
- sensitization of the population on the importance of providing and guaranteeing healthy and safe food;
- the involvement of state power in the development, approval of standards and the proposal of legal texts and regulations related to the food safety and quality;
- the mobilization and responsibility of all actors in the supply chain on the need to ensure and guarantee the quality and safety of agricultural and agri-food products.
Under the theme "Food standards save lives", World Food Safety Day in Chad, 2023 edition, was celebrated by Cabinet d’Expertise Six Sigma solely through an interview granted to Télévision Tchad24.
