قامت منظمة الأغذية والزراعة للأمم المتحدة (المنظمة) بإدراج نظامين اثنين للزراعة والزراعة الحرجية يتميّزان بالتنوع البيولوجي ويعرفان بتسمية "تشاكرا" - يقع الأول في جبال الأنديز والآخر في منطقة الأمازون في إكوادور، على قائمة نظم التراث الزراعي ذات الأهمية العالمية.

أكّدت منظمة الأغذية والزراعة للأمم المتحدة (المنظمة) اليوم على الأهمية الحاسمة التي تتسم بها التدابير الملموسة الرامية إلى تعجيل وصول الناس إلى أنماط غذائية صحية من خلال تحويل النظم الزراعية والغذائية لكي تصبح أكثر قدرة على الصمود وفعالية واستدامة وشمولًا.

ستنظر هيئة الموارد الوراثية للأغذية والزراعة (الهيئة) في دورتها القادمة (يوليو/تموز 2023) في دور معلومات التسلسل الرقمي في صون الموارد الوراثية للأغذية والزراعة واستخدامها المستدام وتقاسم المنافع الناشئة عنها.
