ألقى السيد شو دونيو، المدير العام لمنظمة الأغذية والزراعة (المنظمة)، خطابًا اليوم في اجتماع الأمم المتحدة الرفيع المستوى المنعقد في مدينة نيويورك أثناء انعقاد المنتدى السياسي الرفيع المستوى بشأن التنمية المستدامة لعام 2023، الذي حمل عنوان "تجاوز الأزمات ودفع عجلة التحول من أجل تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة وعدم ترك أي أحد خلف الركب"، محددًا ستة إجراءات وصفها بأنها ضرورية من أجل تحويل النظم الزراعية والغذائية بغية جعلها أكثر كفاءة وشمولًا واستدامة وقدرة على الصمود.

Information from satellites is being used in a new way to help Lesotho develop and maintain a comprehensive next generation land cover database, as part of a collaboration between FAO experts, the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Government of Lesotho.
