FAO's Data Lab

FAO's Corporate Statistical Database (FAOSTAT) is the world's largest database on food and agriculture. FAOSTAT data is available for 245 countries, from 1961 to the most recent year applicable, and in the six FAO official languages.

The Data Lab avails itself of its data collection system and modern technologies (including artificial intelligence) to fill the data gaps of the National Statistical Systems, interpret and disseminate official data for a national government.

Furthermore, the Data Lab carries out data quality controls by validating official data used by FAO, and in doing so, assists national governments in improving the quality of their work.
