EU-STREIT PNG rolled out four rounds of intensive skill training to build the capacity of the government officials, local contractors and local workforce to support rural road transport infrastructure development projects in Papua New Guinea for sustainability and improved road transport infrastructure in the Country.

EU-STREIT PNG, in collaboration with local partners and government agencies, trained 1375 farmers, including women and youths, in the Sepik River area of Papua New Guinea on best cocoa farming techniques and on gender inclusion in agriculture development and financial literacy skills.

EU-STREIT PNG started work on two additional farm-to-market access roads in Sandaun and East Sepik provinces totalling 56 plus km, to serve over 16,000 villagers, including businesspersons, women and school children, with improved access to towns, health posts and schools.
