South-South cooperation: Digital transformation and innovation in agriculture

At an event attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of Costa Rica (MAG), the Municipality of Guatuso, and small-scale producers, the main achievements and sustainability opportunities of an innovative digital initiative were presented.

Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries of Suriname, Prahlad Sewdien, met with an FAO delegation to discuss progress of the pilot initiative promoted by the "South-South Cooperation project: Digital Transformation and Innovation in Agriculture". In addition, he expressed his commitment to rural digital transformation and his support for a second phase of the project.
