English version of an illustrated leaflet on a system for reporting accidents at sea. The system was piloted in Cambodia, Indonesia and Timor-Leste with Regional Fisheries Livelihoods Programme support.

Management advisory for the Bay of Bengal Indian mackerel fishery The BOBLME Project is supporting countries to implement an ecosystem approach to fisheries management of shared fishstocks in the Bay of Bengal. This report details the methodology, and results of a safety at sea assessment conducted for Timor-Leste. The assessment analysed safety legislation and policy, accident reporting mechanisms and assessed the suitability of the design of fishing vessels donated by different government agencies and donor agencies to fishers. The report provided detailed recommendations to both the government staff, donors and fishers to mitigate against the issues highlighted.
