Extended deadline for call for case studies on bioenergy clean cooking interventions

Rome, Italy – The Food and Nutrition Division of FAO and the Global Bioenergy Partnership (GBEP) have extended the deadline for the submission of papers on bioenergy clean cooking interventions. The new deadline for submissions is now September 30, 2024.

This call invites contributions showcasing good practices or case studies that highlight the role of bioenergy clean cooking solutions in transforming agrifood systems and improving nutrition and health. Contributions are sought in the following areas:

  • Operational Studies: Insights into projects that promote bioenergy clean cooking technologies and sustainable value chains from agricultural residues and wastes.
  • Impact Evaluations: Assessments of how bioenergy clean cooking initiatives affect women's empowerment, diet diversity, young child feeding practices, and overall nutrition and health outcomes.
  • Feasibility Research: Studies on implementing bioenergy clean cooking technologies in educational or community settings to promote healthy cooking and environmental sustainability. 

Selected case studies will be featured in an FAO and GBEP publication and showcased through online events and webinars.
