Alternatives to woodfuel for restoring forests landscapes

2.3 billion people globally rely on wood fuel as their primary energy source for cooking and heating, and yet its unsustainable use can drive deforestation. Finding alternatives is urgent.

The GBEP webinar Alternatives to woodfuel for restoring forest landscapes explores alternatives implemented in Ghana and Indonesia with the aim to reduce the traditional use of wood fuel and the pressure on forest resources, contributing to forest landscapes conservation and creating new sources of income.
Presentations by Himlal Baral, PhD (CIFOR-ICRAF) and Prof. David Millar (Millar Institute for Transciplinary and Development Studies).

Financially supported by the Italian Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE).
