Green jobs in biogas

Biogas, produced through anaerobic digestion of organic matter, can provide flexible modern bioenergy services for power generation, transport, heating and cooling, and cooking.
Through the valorisation of waste streams, biogas technology can positively contribute to the local circular bioeconomy, providing green jobs, sustainable modern energy services, and beneficial by-products.
However, biogas technology requires sustained efforts in management and maintenance, and therefore needs the commitment and capacity of local stakeholders. 

This webinar focuses on developing local biogas value chains for the creation of sustainable green jobs. Two case studies are presented – from Mexico and sub-Saharan Africa. The discussion session also provides an opportunity for learning between regions.
