The inaugural meeting of Regional Organizing Group (ROG), began their to coordinate and facilitate the successful and impactful implementation of OCOP in the region of Asia and the Pacific with high-level support and key stakeholders onboard.

Institutional leaders from the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences were welcomed by NSP Director Jingyuan Xia for discussions to strengthen collaboration for the OCOP.

The FAO Country Programming Framework (CPF) Dashboard is a comprehensive and user-friendly platform that makes status information about priorities agreed between FAO and each Member State readily available. OCOP is a key entry point for FAO to support Members reach the goals defined in CPF documents.

The 11th World Soybean Research Conference (WSRC-11) was held in Vienna, Austria, from 18-23 June 2023. Over 500 participants from 51 countries attended the conference, including representatives from government, research and academia, extension and education, NGOs, private sectors, and resource partners.

A milestone was passed in the One Country One Priority Product Initiative (OCOP) when the FAO regional launch event and workshop for implementation of the OCOP in Europe and Central Asia was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan during 2-3 May 2023, hosted by FAO in cooperation with the national Ministry of Agriculture.

The delegation of the FAO Plant Production and Protection Division (NSP) visited the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences (CATAS) and the Hainan Academy of Agricultural Sciences (HAAS), as well as the Rice, and Cotton Research Stations of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), from 17 to 21 April 2023.
